ALIAS AEROSPACE, INC. was founded by Dr. Mark A. Gummin in 1998 to provide scientific and engineering support services to the space science community.

Comprised of a small group of industry professionals, our expertise lies in the design, manufacture, and testing of complex spacecraft instrumentation. We also provide IOC and on-orbit operation support. Most of our experience is related to building instrumentation for Ultraviolet, X-Ray, and Gamma-Ray astronomy programs, with significant recent focus on Contamination Control for highly susceptible Solar missions.

We pride ourselves in being able to provide elegant solutions to complex problems that arise in the manufacture and test of space flight hardware. We have broad, systems-engineering-level experience, extensive industry contacts, and in-depth working knowledge of the space science community. We have very good communication skills, and can work effectively with the technicians, engineers, managers, and scientists involved in a project. We have played significant roles in the development of systems aboard FUSE, SOHO, HST, GALEX, GOES NO/PQ, JWST, GOES-R, Solar Dynamics Observatory, and numerous other programs.

We have provided short- and long-term, on-site and off-site support for programs at NASA-JPL, NASA-Goddard, Kennedy Space Center and CCAS, Lockheed Martin, Boeing Space Systems, GE-Panametrics, UC Berkeley, Johns Hopkins University, the California Institute of Technology, and many other locations.
